All doctors in the practice are Vocationally Registered and have a commitment to General Practice and continuing medical education. Whenever possible it is in your best interest to see the same doctor, who then becomes familiar with your history and can therefore give you the most appropriate advice and treatment.
DR SYLVIA TERKASHER MD
Sylvia graduated from Medical School in 1974. She opened Rose Bay Medical Practice in 1985 and has a loyal following of patients, many of whom have been seeing her regularly since she opened the practice. In many instances, Sylvia looks after 4 generations of the same family.
Sylvia enjoys all aspects of General Practice, with an extended expertise in Women's Health, Antenatal Shared Care and Geriatric Care, as well as Chronic Pain Management through Low Level Laser Therapy. She remains actively involved in ongoing medical education and remains up-to-date with current medical issues.
Sylvia has 3 adult children and 6 young grandchildren.
DR STAN JACOBSON MB, Bch
Stan graduated from medical school in 1967. He has had many years of extensive experience in General Practice and has a keen interest in Paediatrics and Men's Health. He has a loyal following of patients, many of whom began seeing him when he first started at the practice in 2003. Some patients have even been seeing Stan since his days as a doctor in South Africa.
Stan keeps up-to-date with his ongoing medical education and current medical issues.
Stan is married to Avril. They have 2 grown up sons and 5 young grandchildren.
DR PATRICK WONG
MBBS, BSc (Hons), Dip Paed, FRACGP
Patrick graduated from the University of Sydney in 2006 and recently joined our team at Rose Bay Medical Practice. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice and has also completed a Diploma of Child Health from the Sydney University.
Patrick enjoys all aspects of General Practice. He has keen interests in children's and family health, men's health, mental health, travel medicine and sexual health. A core facet of his approach is the focus on preventative medicine and health optimisation.
Patrick also enjoys the challenges of keeping up-to-date with the breadth of knowledge required for General Practice.
Patrick is married to Natalie. They have 2 young daughters. In his spare time he loves spending time with his family and keeping fit.
DR Evan Gordon
MD, Dip Paed, SCM
Evan graduated from the Univeristy of Sydney with a medical degree in 1983. He obtained a Diploma of Paediatrics from UNSW in 1986. And has a certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine from the Skin Cancer College of Australia.
In 1994 Evan together with a partner established Vale Medical Clinic in Brookvale which grew into one of the largest medical centres in NSW and was later sold to a Corporation.
Evan's areas of interest include paediatrics, family medicine, skin and mental health.
Currently Evan also works part-time in finance.
He is married to Nicola. They have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren
Dr Debbie Hill,
MB BS Diploma Child Health, Cert Family Planning, FRACGP
Debbie graduated from UNSW in 1999, and recently joined our team at Rose Bay Medical
Practice. She has a loyal following of patients, many of whom began seeing her when she first started in the eastern suburbs in general practice in 2002.
Debbie enjoys all aspects of General Practice.
She has a keen interest in tailoring medical care to the needs of the patient.
Women's, children and adolescent health, sexual health (including
Mirena IUD and Implanon), mental health, Men's health, dermatology, neurodiversity/autistic
person health, healthy aging, weight management and insulin resistance/PCO.
She is an authorized prescriber of medicinal cannabis, which can target pain management, mental and physical conditions, and a keen participant in Antenatal Shared Care at RHW and RPA.
She has 2 school age daughters.
Karen Wainstein
REGISTERED NURSE
Karen is a Registered Nurse who has worked in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Australia. She holds post graduate degree in Nursing and a Master’s of Education and work, as we as qualifications in immunisation.
Karen assists our doctors in all aspects of healthcare including:
- Child and adult vaccination & immunisation
- Travel medicine
- Wound care
- Iron infusions
- Minor surgical procedures
- Diabetic Management
