Rose Bay Medical Practice is committed to assisting you and your family to manage your health care and keep you well.

 

As well as passing on to you health information and important updates, our doctors, nurses or reception team may also need to contact your directly about your health, via phone calls, letters and email.

 

To improve the effectiveness of our systems, please make sure that your contact details are up-to-date. Should you not wish to be contacted, simply inform our friendly team.

 

Our doctors are contactable during opening hours, however, a message will be taken by reception if the doctor is unavailable at the time of your call. Your call will be returned as soon as the doctor is able.

Our team will endeavor to respond to all correspondence within 48 hours, however to maintain the privacy of your health information, no medically sensitive information will be emailed or discussed over the phone.

There is a risk that important clinical information sent to this address may be missed or not picked up, particularly time critical information. In addition, we urge all patients to carefully consider the issue of security before sending medical information via un-encrypted email. The alternative methods for communicating clinical information are below, although please do not use normal post for forwarding time critical information. We encourage patients to phone the practice or make an appointment to discuss clinical issues.

In the interests of patient privacy Rose Bay Medical Practice does not engage in social media.

MANAGEMENT OF CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION

 

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is our policy to maintain security of personal health information at all times, and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of our team.

 

You are entitled to a copy of your own medical records on request. However, we reserve the right to charge an administration fee to cover any costs incurred in providing your records to you. Please allow 30 days for your request to be finalised.

   

We are also required to ask you identifying questions when we speak with you over the phone so please understand that our receptionists are asking these questions to ensure we are speaking with the correct patient.

COMPLAINTS

We take pride in the high standard of professional care we provide to our patients.

Your comments and suggestions on how we might improve our services are always welcome.

We have a suggestion box in the waiting room for this purpose. Your suggestions are reviewed monthly and we try and provide you with our response on a regular basis.

Every so often we invite patients to complete a questionnaire on their views of the practice and how we can improve.

These surveys are completely confidential and help us ensure you receive the best possible care
